Terms
and Conditions
All adverts will run for a period of
12 months, with an option to renew.
Automatic billing will be sent out
after the expired period, but the onus
will be on the business whether they
wish to renew or not within 7 days.
After the 7 days, the new invoice
becomes due
All renewed adverts will remain at the cost it
was originally inserted for, excluding
any month specials or discounts, for
three years.
All
artwork, editorials, logos must be
supplied by the advertiser, either in
document form, or CD. Any sourcing
of material, or any text being
typed from hard copy, will be charged
for.
All
work done is payable on a COD payment
system, either cash/cheque as direct
deposits or via EFT
Any
upgrades to a higher listing will be charged for at the
going cost of the advert, and the existing
advert will remain till the period is
reached. ie There will be no
trade-offs.
Hyperlinks
from any feature page advert could be linked to any
other page on the website. ie If a family
business has ties with another
business, links will be inserted from
the one to the other.
Any
changes to adverts will be carried out
within 48hrs, and any charges will be
at the sole discretion of Northern
Online.
Full payment
becomes due on upload unless prior
arrangements were mutually agreed on
regarding payment stuctures.
No invoices or reminders are sent out,
so the onus is on the advertiser to
pay any fees due. After 7 days of non
payment, the advert will either be removed,
or contact details suspended without refunds on any deposits made.
As this
is an online business website,
all costs are calculated as such.
Therfore if any reminders of payment
by telephone, SMS or paper media is
sent out, this will result in a R55
increase on the banner or feature
page, and R25 on the
basic listing PLUS, as an administrive
cost.
Structure
of the website
There
has to be limitations placed on this
website, as it can become too
cluttered, as well as slow to upload.
Banner-ads
Because each banner-ad carries a
business logo, it could effect the
"weight" of the page, and
slow to open. Therefore it will be
limited to 25 Banner-ad per commodity

Page ads
At this stage, there are no limits to
this advert, as it has it's own unique
page.
Free
Basic Listings
We will no longer accept requests for
free basic listings. These will be
placed by ourselves, only when we are
assured of genuine business practices
to give the viewer a larger variety of
service providers to choose from. This
decision was taken after too many
complaints about unscrupulous
"businesses" and bad workmanship were
sent to us. We cannot take the chance
of viewers not returning due to a few
bad apples.
We are
sure you will understand. This keeps
the website selective, and whereever
possible, listings of sound
business ethics
R120 or R295 for a full year is not
too much to be assured of viewers
